2013 was very much business as usual for Smooth Jazz Therapy. Although from time to time there were reasons to worry about the survival of the genre we love, all things considered, it remained about the music and thankfully there was lots of it to enjoy. As well as reviewing forty-five CDs (twenty-three down on 2012 and an indicator of how more and more music is coming via download singles) we also reported on six fabulous gigs and spent an amazing week with the Smooth Jazz Cruise West Coast Edition. It goes without saying that we had an absolutely great time doing it and with the number of visitors to the pages of Smooth Jazz Therapy hitting an all time high it was pleasing to reflect that the site remains the hottest place for contemporary jazz on the web. Thanks a million! Thanks also to the publicists, the record companies and of course the artists, both established and up and coming, whom have all played a part by making their music so generously available. Therefore, accepting the self-indulgence of it all, but by way of celebrating what has gone before, here are my own personal highlights of the year. In other words and in no particular order, my Smooth Jazz Therapy Top Twenty Tracks of 2013.

Over the last 5 years years Pocketlove have secured amazing opportunities such as rocking the main stage alongside major acts Tower of Power, Empire of the Sun and Eskimo Joe at the 2011 Caloundra Music Festival and in 2012 playing the main stage of the Noosa Food and Wine Festival supporting Anthony Callea. 2013 proved to be just as fruitful with their original song song 'Till the love is gone' being played by ex member Luke ... 781b155fdc
