The DVD extras offer brief biographies, rarely-seen photos, and a director's commentary. But it's the performances that matter most. Chicago's music and their patented brand of R&B and soul music are still as fresh as they were in those days. The quality of the audio and video is top-notch. The performances are, of course, impeccable, and the DVD is a nice package.
The final disc is the one with its share of deep cuts. Disc 6 begins with a March 25, 1978, performance of R&B cuts at the University of Washington in Seattle. Next are three tracks from the October 21, 1974 show at the Adelaide Festival in Australia. A few more from their Australian tour of the same year follow. A one-off show at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle in September 1975, and a pair of shows at the Chicago Theatre in November are the last major pieces. A few more U.S. and international dates complete the collection.
This is the first time that the complete concert from the February 12, 1977, appearance on Rockpalast has ever been available on DVD. Don't miss out on this comprehensive, high-definition, widescreen presentation. If you want to hear the hits, it's here for you.
Chicago's Live on Stage in Chicago is in two-disc DVD format and features 104 tracks (to give you a rough idea of the sheer magnitude of this recording) and a total running time of about two hours. Recommended.
The music on the new Chicago box is excellent and the video transfer is fine. But this release would be a perfect addition to a library of Chicago's live material if the package contained any kind of liner notes. And a booklet with an essay by writer Jim DeRogatis, photos and even a Chicago song list would be nice.
Limited to 16,000 copies, the DVD is presented in 1.78:1 Widescreen enhanced for HDTVs and will be available June 28 at Chicago Cinemas and Amazon . Each DVD has a total running time of 1 hour 53 minutes.
If another hacker does this, then they will be able to put any game on the ps3 in a matter of minutes! and that means that Sony will be out of the console market for good. We have seen what happens when sony doesn't support games anymore. Nintendo is turning a profit, now it is time for Sony to do the same, or else they are dead.
I don't see the appeal of owning a Sony PS3, and I don't see the value of the PS3 as an entertainment device. Sony has become one of the most untrustworthy companies in the gaming industry in my eyes. 827ec27edc
