Hi all, I’m torn between light and dark countertops. My kitchen isn’t huge, but I love the look of dark granite and quartz. Some people tell me dark counters will make the space feel even smaller, while others say it adds drama and depth. I’m so confused! Anyone here with a smaller kitchen who went dark—regrets or best decision ever?

I had the same debate! My kitchen isn’t massive either, but I went with a deep charcoal quartz, and I absolutely love it. Surprisingly, it didn’t make the room feel smaller—it actually added contrast and made the cabinets pop. The trick is balancing it with lighter cabinets or backsplash so the room doesn’t feel “cave-like.” Also, dark quartz hides messes way better than light colors, which was a win in my book. I got mine after browsing through here: https://ps-countertops.com/ Lots of inspiration there for both light and dark kitchens.
